Implementation of non - invasive methods in studies of archaeological heritage SzD-AR-METOD
As part of the course, students will be introduced to the basics of remote sensing methods in archaeology. Particular emphasis will be placed on such issues as:
Remote sensing:
1. Satellite imaginary
2. Drones (UAV) usage in archaeology
3. Aerial photography and photogrametry
4. Aerial multispectral photography and surveys
5. 3D Modeling based on aerial surveys data
6. Laser altimeters or light detection and ranging (LIDAR)
Geophysics
1. Ground Penetrating – radar
2. Magnetometry
3. Geoelectric methods
The issues related to the methodology of non-invasive archaeological prospection with the use GIS matrix will also be discussed.
