Contemporary Social Problems.
Proverbs.
Extracts from the Bible. Analysis. Vocabulary connected with religion and spiritual life.
Academic English.Grammar: relative clauses, review of gerund and infinitive. Expressing quantity.
Reported Speech.
Continuous aspect.
Academic skills:
preparing and delivering presentations, presenting and interpreting statistic data in English;
writing formal letters,
Writing/draft of professional correspondence, taking reasonably accurate notes in meetings or write an essay which shows an ability to communicate.
Assessment: Assessment on the basis of class attendance (student can be excused twice in a semester) as well as active participation, homework assignments and preparation for classes; Evaluation in the end of the semester will be oral and written (including test at the end of the semester)
