Moral imperfections in the Old Testament WT-DTE-WJMI
The Bible, in many regards, can be very inspiring when read through the lens of love. However, its is also a book fraught with immoral verses and passages of revolting violence. How must we interpret these dark passages?
The question arises: how is the Christian today to understand the moral perfection of the Old Testament, when the Bible clearly emphasizes man's responsibility towards God for the evil done, and how to reconcile such texts with the teaching of Jesus Christ, who is "Full of Love and has no trace of moral imperfection in Him? We find answers to these questions in the light of contemporary history, because in this plane God reveals his personal mystery, and the imperfection and transience of matters presented in the Old Testament should be explained through God's pedagogy.
