Pedagogical seminar in English at the B2+ level: Supporting the development of gifted students at school WNP-PE-ERAS-AKLI-ZN
The seminar is dedicated to the topic of gifted students. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the possibilities of supporting the development of gifted students at school. The theoretical part of the seminar will be devoted to the issue of the needs of gifted students. The practical part will consist of creating educational programs adapted to the needs and development possibilities of gifted students and constructing teaching materials for working with gifted students at school.

Knowledge:
The student has knowledge about abilities, types of abilities, ways of identifying a gifted student. Knows what kind of developmental asynchronies gifted individuals face (understanding emotional, social and behavioral difficulties). Knows educational strategies and programs adapted to the needs of gifted students and legal regulations regarding the functioning of gifted students at school. In addition, knows what role the teacher plays in developing the student's abilities and what role parents and peers play.
Skills:
The student is able to construct a curriculum adapted to the individual needs and interests of a gifted student. Has the ability to use selected methods of working with a gifted student, e.g. project, problem-based and organizing an educational space supporting creativity and critical thinking.
Social competences:
The student is aware of the needs of a gifted student and the challenges related to educational support for their development. Is ready to shape a school environment supporting the development of a gifted student and to engage in work with such a student. Is open to cooperation in supporting the development of a gifted student.

- Active participation in conversation classes
Students must attend at least 80% of classes to pass the course.

Final score:
60-67 p. - 3,0
68-75 p. - 3,5
76-83 p. - 4,0
84-91 p. - 4,5
