Biblical Geography, Archeology and History WT-DTE-GAH1
The classes are taught in the form of exercise with elements of lecture.
At the first stage of the lectures, the students will learn the geography of the Holy Land: topography, hydrography, climate, natural resources and wildlife of the Fertile Crescent (Egypt, Ancient Levant, Mesopotamia), with a particular focus on regions of Israel. Then they will explore the history of biblical Israel. This story will be presented in several main stages: the era of the patriarchs, the exodus, the period of the judges, the history of the united and divided monarchy of Israel, exile, the period of Persian, Hellenistic period, Roman domination. When discussing the aforementioned historical periods, the students will learn about the most important archaeological artifacts.

- Understand better the biblical message of the Old and New Testaments
Assessment criteria
In determining the final assessment will be taken into account the following criteria:
1. Participation in classes (max. 7 points)
2. Activity during the classes (max. 3 points)
4. The time spent on preparing the exercise, its manner of presentation and content-related value (max. 10 points)
5. Creativity (max. 10 points)
6. State of the knowledge proven during the test (max. 10 points)
The maximum number of points = 40
The minimum number of points required to complete the course = 28
