Philosophy of the Church Fathers WT-SSTA-P
The goal of the course is to make the student familiar with philosophical concepts, which were used by the patristic authors to express the content of christian doctrine in the Early Christian period. Another goal is to present the key christian authors (Marius Victorinus, st. Augustine, Pseudo-Dionysius Areopagita) who could transform and develop the philosophical ideas thanks to the influence of Christian faith. During the lectures will also be presented the philosophical methods and terms important in shaping the Christian theology of patristic period.

STL_W01 - student has knowledge about specific charatcter of patrictc theology especially at the field of dogmatic and moral theology, and what the philosophical influence did to shape early theology.
STL_W02 - student knows and understands basic therminology of Greek philsophy, which was used by the Church Fathers to express christian faith and new philosophical terms coined by the Christian writers of this era.
STL_W03 - student knows specific character of philosophical methods developed in Greek philosophy and the way of their application in theology.
STL_W07 - student has knowledge Grekk philosophy and culture as a background of theology in Late Antiquity.

STL_W01 - student fully knows and explains the specific of patristic theology, especially at the field of moral and dogmatic theology, is able to describe broadly how Greek philosophy influenced shaping of Christian theology.
STL_W02 - studen can fully explain all terms which were spoken of during the course, taken by the Church Faters to exrpess Christian faith and new philosophical terms coined by them.
STL_W03 - student fully knows the sepecific character of Ancient philosophical methods and the way of their application in Christian theology.
STL_W07 - student can broadly describe the relation of patristic theology to Greek philosophy and culture.
