Proseminar Methods of Studying WT-SOP-PR
Course content:
1. Basics of how to plan one’s own learning in a rational way (advantages of a good plan, kinds of planning)
2. Compliance with recommendations of intellectual work hygiene
3. Basics of the art of learning (taking into account the “curve of fotgetfulness”)
4. Necessity and ability to use a library
5. Art of reading in the process of learning
6. Ability to use lectures and take notes during lectures
7. Learning as information processing and the ability to select the information
8. Presentation in class and seminar
9. Introduction to academic writing (semester assignment, scientific report, etc.)
10. Kinds and functions of exams
11. Stages and ways of getting ready for exams
12. Practical tips how to take exams
Assessment methods:
Credit will be given for active participation in seminars, and also on the basis of tests and questionnaires.
