To acquaint students with legal framework in regard to competition and consumer protection in Poland (also in the context of European integration and direct effect of community antitrust law regulations in the member states), functions and goals of antitrust law, instruments for protection of competition (in regard both to legal restrictions on anti-competitive practices and the following sanctions, as well as to merger control regulations), competencies of antitrust authorities and their relations to other public authorities, procedures in regard to the public and private antitrust law enforcement.

Student has knowledge of concepts and notions of Competition and Consumer Protection Law in Poland
Student can specify goals and functions of Competition Law and understands the role of the State in Economy
Student knows instruments of Competition Law and is able to use them in relevant cases
Student knows administrative bodies responsible for protection of competition and is able to explain their powers and competencies as well as their relations to other administrative bodies
Student is concious of the importance of competition protection for the conduct of economic activity, from enterpreneurs´ and consumers´point of view
