Social Pedagogy WNP-PEZ-PESL
Substantial contents: The program includes following issues:
Pedagogical theory of environment with reference to social psychology, sociology of education, social policy, social philosophy and catholic social teaching; theories of social-caring works; improvement, school as purposefully influencing environment, social, educational, cultural and tutorial problems of local environment, parish as an pedagogical environment; family, methods of socio-educational work, meaning of teachers and tutors in building social order. Within this subject students will be obliged to prepare an essay - My locality, its history, nature, culture and social life – where they will use their practical knowledge of social pedagogy.
Some aspects will also be considered on more general level, such as: anthropological thesis of social pedagogy, human – environment – education relations. Deterministic, humanistic, personalistic, realistic, phenomenological and hermeneutical conceptions of human environment. Peculiarities of social pedagogy research. Interpersonal communication in the family.
Assessment method: written examination with taking into account classes attendance and the quality of prepared essay.
Teaching method: Lecture combined with seminary; ways of preparing scientific essay about own locality
