Pedagogical and Psychological Aspects of Teaching Children with Special Educational Needs WNP-PE-ERAS-PRNS-L
The subject deals with the main areas of pedagogical work and support for children with special educational needs in primary and secondary school. The most common problems in teaching work and how to deal with them will be discussed. Topics covered during the conversation: Introducing to SEN teaching. What is SEN, the inclusive classroom, classroom management.
Working collaboratively. Working with parents/carers and professionals
Assistive technology: reading support, writing support, memory support, using the Internet.
Types of SEN: information and practical teaching strategies: dyslexia, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD), Autism spectrum condition (ASC); gifted and talented students

During the course, the student will receive a worksheet on the current issue, at the end of the class he/she will hand in the completed exercises.
