Grounded theory methodology procedures and techniques WSE-SO-GTMPT
Lecture, apart from the history and strategies of GTM focus on the most important methods and techniques - open, focused and theoretical coding, continuous comparison method and memo writing techniques. To pass the subject, students will have to prepare a project according to the methodology of grounded theory based on the knowledge obtained during the lectures
Thematic areas:
1.Grounded theory- essentials
History of qualitative research
GT according to A. Strauss, B, Glaser, K. Charmaz, A. Clarke
Issue of theoretical framework, personal philosophical position
2. Grounded theory project- planning
3. Quality in grounded theory research
4. Positioning the researcher in a grounded theory study
5. Data generation/ data collection
Memo writing- rules and techniques (clustering, freewriting)
6. Data analysis in grounded theory
open coding, axial coding, theoretical coding
7. Theoretical integration
8. Presenting a grounded theory- oral presentation and raport
9. Evaluation and application
