Ecology and Landscape Architecture (practice) WB-BI-ANG-48cw
Goal of the course: to familiarize students with knowledge covering basic ecology and landscape architecture. Students will be introduced to information about the field of research in landscape architecture (covering basic environmental analysis in landscape architecture, design, planting, and maintenance of landscape architecture facilities). In the following stages, issues of green infrastructure of the city will be discussed, as well as ecological ideas of shaping green areas. Each of the sections will also cover issues related to the documentation of green space eco-urbanism (environmental analysis at the intersection of ecology, sozology and urban planning, thematic maps, natural-urban inventories). During the course, students will have the opportunity to complete surveys, as well as dendrological measurements and take samples for laboratory testing. Field classes in the form of field trips are planned (3 study tours)

Assessment methods and criteria - exercises:
Task (practical) - making a survey based on the knowledge from lectures.
During the study (field) visit, the student is required to conduct a survey of the users of the landscape arch. facility and take basic natural and urban measurements and samples from the site (to be turned in at the end of class).
The results of the questionnaires are submitted via the Moodle platform (e-learning).

A student may have 1 unexcused absence, but attendance during study visits is mandatory.
