Course goals
- to gain solid and durable foundations in moral and character education,
- to be able to explain basic notions in the field of moral and character education,
- to gain knowledge of various conceptions of moral and character education,
- to gain ability to critically analyse individual approaches in moral and character education,
- to be able to apply some of the analysis in educational process,
- to gain basic knowledge about the research in the field and operationalization of linked variables.

Course requirements
Completion of one paper which will be four to six pages in length (excluding references), typed one and half-spaced. Paper requires the student to take ideas from the readings, presentations, and lecture discussions for the chosen problem with application the theoretical solutions to short programme of moral and character education. Papers must be an application of ideas rather than simply a regurgitation of class materials. Students are encouraged to discuss their ideas with the lecturer before writing the papers.
Active participation during online lectures.
Cooperative translation of Prosocial Moral Reasoning test (Carlo, Eisenberg, & Knight, 1992) to Polish language, investigating of the story understanding in a group of adolescents, data gathering, and reporting.
