Learning outcomes
The student is able to define key concepts of social pathology as a scientific discipline (normal, pathology, deviance, socialization, behavioral, social maladjustment, et al.), Point to the common areas of research with other disciplines pedagogical (special education, Rehabilitation, caring, social and others.), as well as connections with other disciplines - psychology, sociology, medicine, criminology, social work and others.
Students can replace typologies and analyze the main theories and concepts of social maladjustment and selected theories of deviance.
The student can name and describe the different symptomatic forms of social pathology, identify the factors / reasons for their formation, stages of development and the effects of impact on the functioning of the human / social group.
Students can use the theoretical knowledge in order to identify and characterize specific form of social maladjustment in the observation of behavior and functioning of children, adolescents and adults.
The student is able to assess the possible social risks, derived by individuals from the life and the environment, propose an appropriate model to solve the problem in collaboration with parents, teachers, educators and other professionals.
Students can interpret selected case study and choose and analyze relevant own examples, which illustrate the different types of manifestations of social pathology.
