As a result of completion of this course, the student should be able to:
• define the purpose and methodology of ethics
• List and describe the major positions in the dispute about the nature of moral evaluation
• present the most important stages in the development of European ethical thought
• competently use basic concepts of axiology
As a result of completion of this course the student should be able to:
• analyze the major ethical position in disputes with regard to their basic assumptions
• formulate their own beliefs in terms of normative philosophical axiology
• undertake discussions with representatives of alternative normative-ideological positions
As a result of completion of this course the student should:
• recognize the philosophical ground ideological diversity of ethical attitudes
• be open to dialogue with the representatives of different ideological beliefs
• be ready for the application of knowledge in the field of ethics in professional practice
