I. LECTURE
Evaluation methods:
A written exam in a test form. Material presented during lectures supplemented with indicated literature excerpts are binding for the exam.
Curricular contents:
1.Main problems of developmental psychology (developmental psychology specificity; the idea of development; directions of development; the issue of developmental stages).
2.Theories of child development (psychoanalytic perspective; behaviourism; cognitive-developmental models, theories of learning, etologic and ecologic approach).
3.Methods of investigating development (methods of research in developmental regularities; a diagnosis of individual development).
4. Factors of development (the argument over hereditariness and environment; initiative as the main factor of development; external and internal factors of initiative).
5.Pre-natal development (from conception till birth).
6.Cognitive development (Piaget's theory of cognitive development; mental operations; material of thinking).
7.Development of cognitive processes (perception development; memory development).
8.Speech development (speech acquisition and development; grammaticalisation; functions of the speech).
9.Emotional development (factors stirring emotions; emotional reactions development; types of emotions; emotions vs action).
10.Social development (development of social perceptions; development of social contacts; the process of socialisation).
11.Moral development (Kohlberg's concept; development of the system of values; value structure vs preference).
12.Personality development (development of the system of motivation; needs development; adolescent rebellion).
13.Shaping an identity (shaping an identity as a developmental task; shaping depiction of the world and oneself, styles and statutes of identity).
14.The man at the verge of adulthood (developmental achievements in adolescence).
15.Basic developmental achievements from infancy to adolescence - a summary.
